Cá độ bóng đáThe arrangement has been reviewed, and from Wednesday 5 August 2020, paediatric services will be reintroduced at Queen’s Hospital Burton in a phased and controlled way.
Cá độ bóng đáThe first phase will see ward 2 re-open for inpatient services, and ward 1 will be used as the paediatric assessment unit from 9:30am – 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
During the first phase, A&E at Queen’s Hospital Burton will only be able to provide treatment to children with a minor illness or injury who attend in person or are referred by their GP.
Cá độ bóng đáWhile A&E will remain open to both adults and children, if emergency care is needed, families should continue to take children to the children’s emergency department at Royal Derby Hospital. Children who require critical care will be treated in the paediatric high dependency unit at Royal Derby Hospital, and if travelling by ambulance, children will be taken directly there. The nearest car park is number 4 and people should use the children’s emergency department entrance.
The paediatric ward areas are currently being redecorated and deep cleaned in preparation for the service to be returned.
The Trust is writing to parents and carers of all children who are open access patients to let them know about the new arrangements.
There are visiting restrictions in place across our hospitals, please visit our information for visitors page > for more information. All visitors will be required to wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidance.
The Emergency Department is still able to care for your child but if your child is seriously unwell or experiences an emergency, we advise you take them to the dedicated Children’s Emergency Department at Royal Derby Hospital.
Cá độ bóng đá The nearest car park is number 4 and you should use the Children’s Emergency Department entrance. All ambulances for children are still temporarily diverted to Royal Derby Hospital.
As part of the phased approach we’re reopening one paediatric ward at Queen’s Hospital Burton which means we will be operating at a reduced capacity. If the ward becomes full your child will be admitted to Royal Derby Hospital.
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 the Trust is operating a restricted visiting policy, full details can be found on our Information for visitorsCá độ bóng đá page. Visiting is limited to one parent per day, who may choose to stay all day or for a short period of time, but there should be no swopping or return in same day.
Cá độ bóng đáThe ambulance divert will be reviewed throughout August we will update you when it changes.
