Cá độ bóng đáHello, my name is Cathy Winfield,
I am delighted that you are researching and considering developing your career to deliver Exceptional Care Together at UHDB. I am both proud and privileged to lead nursing and midwifery across five hospital sites. We employ just over 5,000 nurses and midwives who are passionate at putting our patients first.
Cá độ bóng đáWe can offer a number of opportunities for our nurses and midwives, who we believe are valuable and crucial to patient experiences and outcomes. Our opportunities range from clinical apprenticeships through to senior clinical posts. We are a test site for the new role of nursing associate and have just seen our legacy cohort graduate and register with the NMC.
We provide clinical placements for a number of health care students, who are supported to reach their full potential from our multi-professional Practice Learning support Unit (PLSU). We have a strong preceptorship programme for our newly qualified staff that constantly links into their ongoing development and personal career aspirations. We have a robust support programme in place for our overseas nurses and rotations and secondment’s for our staff to access.
Cá độ bóng đáAt UHDB we often see our staff develop into leadership and specialists roles and have just under 300 clinical specialist roles for nurses and midwives and around 90 Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) from a variety of professional groups.
Cá độ bóng đáI genuinely hope you may consider developing your nursing or midwifery career at UHDB, so that you can shine and be the best nurse and midwife you can be.

UHDB provides a range of support to help staff return to clinical practice. We work with Health Education England, who may be able to offer financial and academic support to health professionals wishing to undertake a return to practice scheme.
The return to practice programme supports the commitments made in the NHS Long Term Plan to recruit more people into the workforce and ensure staff have rewarding jobs and work in a positive culture. The initiative within Derby and Derbyshire aims to encourage nurses, midwives, allied health professionals (AHPs) and healthcare scientists (HSCs) all to return to practice. There are vacancies waiting for returnees in both health and social care roles in Derby and Derbyshire.
